Driver ID Tag for greater security
You are provided with two small Driver ID Tag to identify you as an authorised driver. This is kept with you whenever you use your vehicle but not attached to your car key. If your vehicle is moved, whether by starting the ignition with or without your key, and the Driver ID Tag is not present in the vehicle, a covert alert is instantly raised in the Control Room. The Control Room quickly determine if a theft is taking place and works directly with the police and initiates a level 1 police response to recover the vehicle. This means that even if your car key is stolen or you are a victim of relay crime, the thieves will not get very far.
How does Immobilisation work
With a remote BLE Relay that communicates directly with the S5 Tracker, the relay is buried in the vehicle away from the main tracker and remains open until the BLE ID Tags are present. When present the relay will close and allow the vehicle to drive. If thieves scan for the presence of a Tracker and remove the tracker, they are unable to start the vehicle as the Relay that controls the ignition is open and will not allow the vehicle to start.
Remote Immobilisation
Immobilise your vehicle remotely in the event of theft and prevent the engine from starting again until the authorities arrive. The S5+ Tracker also has Remote Police Authorised Immobilisation capability. This is where the attending police officers can give authorisation to the control room to temporarily immobilise the vehicle. This means that the thieves will not be able to drive the vehicle any further, allowing the police and recovery team to attend to the vehicle on the spot.
Function Of The Ghost Tracker
The Ghost Tracker provides an additional layer of security should the thieves remove the Tracker and the Remote BLE relay. The Ghost Asset Tracker is not connected to the vehicle electronics and is buried deep within the vehicle. It is asleep most of the time and wakes up 3 – 4 times a day for milliseconds and is therefore completely undetectable. When it wakes up, it sends a message to the main tracker, and if it receives a response, it goes back to sleep. If no response is received, it connects immediately with the monitoring centre, which will see that a potential theft is in progress. They will then be in contact with the police who will then be able to recover the vehicle. The unsuspecting thief will think that as they have removed the main tracker, they are undetectable, but unbeknown to them they are being actively monitored.

The UK based monitoring centre is a Category II Alarm Receiving Centre, accredited by the British Standards Institution. There are only two categories and Category II is the higher grade with the tougher standards. Our on-call staff are always on alert for emergency situations and act within seconds in the event of a theft attempt or tampering and are authorised to initiate level 1 police response. Should someone attempt to break to into your vehicle or steal it, our monitoring centre will be immediately alerted about the event and contact the police.
